Treatment concepts for edentulous patient
The treatment of elderly edentulous patients or with partial dentition represents a challenge for dentist The treatment plan complexity is related to the esthetic and functional preoperative evaluations, the possibility to perform an immediate loading and the hard and soft tissues management is always a crucial topic.
Today the full digital approach and the guided surgery is a predictable and reliable procedure in the treatment of those patients
Aim of this presentation is to analyze advantages related to the combination of computer guided implant placement and digital procedures both for treatment plan and prosthetic rehabilitation: reduction of postoperative discomfort and chair-side time for the restoration, the opportunity to obtain an accurate waxup of the final result during the treatment planning, improvement of the implant placement accuracy in case of bone atrophy.
