Ti-base concept – mechanical stability – a systematic approach

Last developments in CAD.CAM technology together with a demand for more cost-efficient treatment solutions have increased the popularity of monolithic hybrid abutment-crowns using titanium bases as implant abutments. While long-term clinical outcomes are still scarce, laboratory testing simulating clinical aging are important to predict the material behavior and stability of these prosthetic materials.  Results of a condensed line of research will be shared with the objective to provide clinical recommendations to implant restoration material choice using the titanium-base concept.
